Christina McPhee was born in Los Angeles and received her MFA from Boston University, where she studied with Philip Guston. Her multimedia and drawing work has been exhibited internationally, including New York, Vienna, Cologne, Moscow and Los Angeles. Recent museum solo shows include American University Museum, Washington DC and Bildmuseet, Sweden. McPhee was a participating artist at Documenta 12 as well as the 2008 Bucharest Biennial. Her work is part of numerous private and public collections, such as the Thresholds New Media Collection, Scotland; Experimental Television Center, NY; and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City.
